Bracknell Forest Council is working on a strategy to actively minimise climate change. Borough Officers recently congratulated us for being the first Parish Council to produce a draft outline strategy. We have now formed a working group responsible for communicating how we can best manage the environment and the use of natural resources. The working group is producing an action plan to raise awareness and share ways of efficiently using natural resources and encouraging sustainable consumption. Look out for updates and articles on our website and in The Wren.
More information on Bracknell Forest Council’s action plan can be found here.

You can now place all your kerbside recyclables in your big blue wheelie bin. This means that plastic bottles, paper, card, food tins, drinks cans and aerosols can all go in together. As a result some communal recycling bins are being removed from bank sites across the Borough. To order a free blue wheelie bin, visit www.bracknell-forest.gov.uk/abc, or call 352000.
