I have lived in Warfield for nearly 11 years and worked for the Met Office for 23 years before taking early retirement in 1994. In recent years I have become involved in various voluntary activities, the latest being The Warfield Environment Group formed in 2002. I now feel that with my knowledge of the local area plus the combination of my scientific background with my interest in the preservation and enhancement of the natural environment I am able to make a valid contribution to life in Warfield as a Parish Councillor. |

I welcome the opportunity to proactively contribute to our local community. I am particluarly interested in local environmental issues, Northern Parishes Arts Festival, roads and general safety, especially for children living in the area. Currently a full-time mother, my career to date has been in marketing and PR, with a recently acquired MBA gained by studying part-time with the University of Reading Business School. |
